Oculus Quests will be available for guests to play Beat Games’ Beat Saber 360 and Cloudhead Games’ Pistol Whip. Oculus Quest is the popular standalone VR headset that was released from Oculus earlier this year.

Beat Saber

Beat Saber is a unique VR rhythm game where your goal is to slash the beats (represented by small cubes) as they are coming at you. Every beat indicates which saber you need to use and also the direction you need to match. All the music is composed to perfectly fit the handmade levels. Our goal is to make players almost dance while cutting the cubes and avoiding obstacles. Each cut is strongly supported by great sound and visual effects to emphasize the rhythm.

Pistol Whip

Inspired by God-mode action movies like John Wick and Equilibrium, Pistol Whip puts you gun-first through an explosive batch of hand-crafted action scenes each set to their own pulse-pounding soundtrack. But unlike traditional music games, Pistol Whip has no line in the sand; you have complete freedom to shoot, melee, and dodge targets to the rhythm YOU see fit. Pair the pulse-pounding pace of an FPS with the flow-state energy of a music game in a cinematic symphony of violence.

Featuring EDM artists from Kannibalen Records, including Apashe, HVDES, and Black Tiger Sex Machine; with more to come…

Final Assault

Final Assault is an action packed, WWII themed RTS built from the ground up to capitalize on the power of VR. Tower over the battlefield as war rages around you in 360 degrees. Command jeeps, tanks, and artillery in massive ground battles as the skies erupt in bullets, flak and dynamic dog fights. Execute air strikes and bombing runs as you advance your troops towards enemy territory. Control your units by drawing paths for precise, direct combat. Strategic decisions have consequences that require quick thinking and fast VR reflexes. This new approach to classic RTS gaming utilizes compelling and immersive gameplay that can only exist in VR. Jump into the combat. Fight the battle, win the war!

Onward

Onward is a Mil-Sim paced tactical multiplayer shooter, being developed for virtual reality head mounted displays. Players will use coordination, communication, and marksmanship skill to complete objectives in online infantry combat. With day and night maps, weather effects, and multiple environments and scenarios, no skirmish will feel the same. With one life, no HUD, and no crosshairs, players will need their wits and combat skills to survive.

Echo VR (Echo Arena + Echo Combat):

In Echo Combat, you will play as a futuristic battle-ready robot armed with an array of weapons and abilities as your team of four competes against the opposition in high-speed objective-based zero-gravity mayhem! In the Arena, your team will face off against the competition in a zero-gravity clash of robotic glory as you glide, boost, and punch your way to scoring goals in a breathtaking virtual arena.

After you’ve scored your goals and delivered the payload why not just hang out in the Echo VR lobby, where you’ll find practice areas to hone both your disc shots and blaster shots.

VR LAN events such as this represent a focused effort to highlight community involvement and introduce VR esports to a wider range of audiences. With 30 VR headsets available to visitors in the VR Freeplay area, this will be the largest VR LAN party featured at DreamHack!
