DHATL18: The Art Gallery Paves the Way for Undiscovered Skill

The arts community and gaming industry have been at odds in the past, but now artists are being embraced more than ever. Still, a few have snuck under the radar

Interestingly, some truly fascinating, cool, and downright weird artists have been hiding out in secret in the gaming scene. And it’s not because they’re all shy, they just haven’t had the chance to show their work in a gallery. As simple as that may seem, it’s one feat to make a game and a whole other feat to explore the possibility of being in an art show.

To make it easier for the artists and accessible to the fans that love them, we’ve introduced our Art Gallery. We print on canvas, hang and display the works on a humongous wall, and let everyone see what they’ve been missing. The gallery has been a hit, so now we’re bringing our next round of featured pieces to DreamHack Atlanta and Winter.

Check out the artists and their work below. Just know, these are teasers. If you want to see the full pieces, you’ll have to come to the show or, better yet, you’ll have to check out the artists’ websites and see what they’ve posted.

Whichever way you choose to view them, thanks for checking them out. And if you love their work, you can buy their game and become a true patron of the arts!
