A part of Esl Pro Tour

Today, DreamHack and ESL announced the new ESL Pro Tour, a circuit linking more than 20 CS:GO tournaments & leagues, with an aggregate prize pool of more than $5 million USD for 2020 from tournaments across five continents. We’re proud that DreamHack Open will be a part of this new circuit, while expanding to a new location in 2020!

Tournaments in the ESL Pro Tour will be organized into Challenger and Masters levels. DreamHack Open is a Challenger level tournament and will serve as a platform for teams to elevate themselves to Master-level tournaments. We, at DreamHack, have always been dedicated to the growth of professional gaming, not just for the very best players, but for those aspiring to become them. Earlier this year we announced that we’re linking our Open, Showdown & Masters tournaments.

Today, we’re proud to take that one step further, so teams that participate in our tournaments can earn points in the ESL Pro Tour ranking, and ultimately prove themselves in the Championship finals taking place at ESL One Cologne, and Intel Extreme Masters Katowice!
