Covid-19 guidelines

The security, safety, health, and wellness of everyone in our festival is of the utmost importance; attendees, staff, guests, etc. In an effort to maintain a happy and healthy festival we have implemented the following rules and guidelines to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 at our festival.

Compliance

DreamHack is utilizing official guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Fulton County Board of Health, and the Georgia Department of Public Health to enact our DreamHack COVID-19 prevention and response guidelines.

The venue emergency operations and COVID-19 Health & Safety team will continue to monitor community infection levels and will make adjustments to these guidelines based on updates from federal, state, and local officials to implement necessary measures accordingly.

Acknowledgement

Please be advised that a risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any event or public space, and COVID-19 guidelines are built as precautionary and risk mitigation measures. By attending DreamHack Atlanta, you confirm and understand the inherent risk and acknowledge these guidelines as a condition of your participation. We ask the DreamHack community to ensure everyone’s safety by adhering to these guidelines as recommended by health and safety officials.

COVID-19 Information Booth (Health & Safety Team/Event Resource)

Guests may visit the COVID-19 information booth with any questions around their DreamHack experience related to COVID-19 precautions. Additionally, guest ambassadors and staff will be trained to respond to and escalate guests’ concerns around COVID-19 and potential exposure.

COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines

We highly recommend that guests:

  • Self-test at home or anywhere prior to and during the festival.
  • Self-check for symptoms on a daily basis.
  • Stay up to date with COVID-19 Vaccines including Boosters
    • Get fully vaccinated at least fourteen (14) days prior to the event.
      • Fully vaccinated means having a second dose in a 2-dose, or single dose in a 1-dose, COVID-19 vaccine authorized by the FDA or WHO.
    • Get boosted. Research suggests that getting a booster dose can decrease your risk of infection and severe illness with COVID-19.

Masks will be made available to guests at the COVID-19 Information Booth and at designated entry points upon request. Per local regulations, vaccination, testing, and masks are highly encouraged but not required.

Entry Requirements

We ask that guests do not enter the venue, or immediately exit the venue if the following conditions are true:

  • You are currently experiencing any of the following symptoms of COVID-19, including, but not limited to:
    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea
  • You have been in contact with someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 symptoms without completing a CDC-recommended quarantine;
  • You are under any self-quarantine or isolation orders as outlined by the CDC self-quarantine or isolation protocols.

Guests experiencing symptoms will be asked to move to a quarantine zone and/or exit the space at the discretion of the Health & Safety Team.

During the FESTIVAL

Monitor your health and take action.

Personal Ownership

We invite you to take ownership of your part in crafting the DreamHack experience. Please take care of yourselves to ensure your and your fellow guest’s safety–note that stress, lack of sleep, and dehydration are all contributors to a weakened immune system.  Remove yourself from the event immediately if you experience the onset of symptoms, and do not attend if you begin to feel sick prior to the event.

If you are feeling anxious or stressed about this topic, please know that the DreamHack Health & Safety team can guide you through next steps.

All participants, guests and staff, are expected to comply with these health & safety guidelines.

The Community

Awareness and action are the greatest tools against the spread of COVID-19; we encourage everyone to take an active role in ensuring the health and safety of others by using these guidelines and available resources at your disposal.

Together, we can ensure our DreamHack festivals are safe and accessible to everyone in our community.
