No, not that movie, but what we do have is a marathon weekend of “pulp” genres including action, mystery, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and thriller fan favorites. Between our features, shorts, and fan films, everyone can catch a flick they’ll enjoy.
The stars of the show, they’re the films that’ll get you wrapped up in their incredible worlds. Grab your pillows, popcorn, and flashlights (kidding… kind of) and enjoy our late night shows.
If you’re interested in watching something cool but don’t have a lot of time, the shorts offer up an easy way to enjoy bite-sized films. They’re especially good to catch when you have less than an hour.
Do you love watching cutscenes or fan-made trailers? If you’ve ever wished you could see a short live-action film based on a game, then you’ll be happy to know we’ve got some.
The full rules are available on the entry form, but this is some basic info to get you started.
You may enter a film, TV show, internet video, short, or cartoon (including anime). Screenings must be delivered in a final format before the event, but can be in rough cut form at the time of entry. If you’re submitting a rough cut, we reserve the right to reject the film based on lack of information. If an individual, you must be at least 18 years old.
To keep consistent with the DreamHack demographic, please keep the genre to the following: Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Anime, Animation, and anything typically accepted within the gaming community (please remember this does not limit content, but genre only). Your film must have been released either in 2019 or planned to release sometime in the future.
The DreamHack Staff reviews all of the films submitted and considers them based on the materials entered. There are no entry fees.
Your film will be promoted on our site and social channels. Each company representing the film will receive 2 complimentary DreamHack 3-Day tickets to the event.
