Tickets (the 1-day pass or 3-day pass) are available for DreamHack Dallas. Day passes cost $35 if you buy via DreamHack’s online ticket portal or at the entrance itself. The day pass is valid between 10:00AM and 12:00AM midnight. A 3-day pass is valid for entry throughout the event, but does not include a computer seat (this requires a BYOC ticket) which is available for purchase, both via our online ticket portal and at the entrance of the venue (if any seats are still available).
Everyone is welcome at DreamHack Dallas! Anyone below the age of 18 is required to have their parent or legal guardian sign a waiver. The waiver can be found for download below or at the entrance to the event. Those below 13 must be accompanied at all times by their parent or legal guardian.
If your child (ages 5-12) is attending DreamHack and you would like to join them, you can purchase a parent ticket. This ticket is discounted 50%. Please e-mail your child’s ticket order confirmation email to firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know that you would like to accompany your child and need to purchase a parent ticket. You may be asked for identification via email or upon arrival to confirm that you are family.
Admission is free for all children age 4 and under.
When children attend LAN events, it is common for them to forget or neglect their hygiene, rest, and food needs. We therefore ask you as parents to inform your children about the consequences this might have.
Children should come to the show clean and well rested. If your child is sick, it is recommended they stay home to prevent spreading illness. Likewise, children should wash hands after touching controllers, keyboards, etc. and before eating.
It is important to sleep properly. Two hours per night is not enough for the body to stay healthy.
Because it can get hot and dry in the halls, it is important to stay well hydrated, drinking water rather than soft drinks. They will feel better if they avoid liquids with sugar or caffeine. DreamHack works each year to improve the food available in the venue so that everyone can find a variety of dishes available at a reasonable price.
Remind your child to bring medication and documentation with them, including the contact details of a legal guardian in case a serious situation arises. A good tip is to add a number for a contact person in your child’s mobile phone that can help with medical decisions in case of an emergency. This should be highlighted in the phone’s contact list with the name of the contact beginning with the letters ICE (short for In Case of Emergency). For example, the home number could be called “ICE Mom”. This makes it easy for healthcare professionals to quickly find the best contact. This system is used in many countries around the world and is an effective tool that is completely free!
DreamHack is an event where incidents rarely happen. We have a zero tolerance policy on drugs and strive for a friendly environment. A local security company will have staff at the venue 24 hours a day and there will also be regular police patrols on site. DreamHack collaborates with emergency services and the police to create a safe event. DreamHack has its own security officers who take preventive precautions and help participants with security issues. In emergencies, you should always contact the authorities, but you may also talk to one of our security staff who can contact the authorities for you. In a case of lost property, for example, you should contact the police. We have broad expertise in the field of fire safety and first aid. In an emergency situation, our staff is trained to immediately call appropriate police, fire department, and ambulance services.
DreamHack is the world’s largest digital festival, a meeting place for gamers, with major events hosted each year in Europe and North America. Founded in 1994, DreamHack’s core has always been the LAN party where attendees bring their computer from home and set up for 3 straight days of gaming. DreamHack’s festivals have grown organically over time, becoming a platform for esports, internet and gaming culture, intellectual and creative competitions, live music acts, lectures by industry experts, celebrity content creators, cosplayers, a massive Expo, and much more.
DreamHack is also a production company, creating content focused on gaming, esports, music, and arena events, for both traditional TV and digital content networks. In 2017, DreamHack welcomed more than 250,000 visitors to its live events, and its online esports broadcasts received more than 375 million views. More information is available at dreamhack.com.
