Ambitious Partnership will Level Up DreamHack Dallas and Summer with LAN Stage Influencer Activations, LAN Tournaments, Upgraded LAN Rows, Free Mechabellum Steam Keys, and a Freeplay Area.
Stockholm – May 30, 2024 – ESL FACEIT Group (EFG), the leading esports and video game entertainment company, and DreamHack, a leading global immersive gaming lifestyle festival, today announce a new partnership with Paradox Arc, the publishing initiative dedicated to incubating and releasing deep, replayable games such as Across the Obelisk, Starminer, and the new wargame Mechabellum.
Paradox will be a part of the upcoming DreamHack Dallas and DreamHack Summer gaming festivals, with a strong presence focused on creating the best LAN experience for fans by organizing activities in Mechabellum – a rewarding tactical wargame where players win by adapting strategies and outthinking opponents. The game is still in an Early Access phase, and DreamHack festival visitors will be able to try it out in the Freeplay Area and have access to in-game rewards they can unlock throughout the festival.
“DreamHack is the perfect place for publishers to showcase their new games, and Paradox Arc will bring unparalleled gaming experiences to our attendees in Dallas and Sweden,” said Andreas Jernberg, Managing Director & VP Partnerships ESL FACEIT Group/DreamHack. “Our community is passionate, engaged, and always looking for the next big thing, and Paradox Arc’s creative approach to engaging our community will have an impact on our fans, their games, and DreamHack itself.”
Upgraded LAN Rows and Tournaments
To celebrate this partnership, DreamHack’s Dallas and Summer festivals will have three rows in the main LAN halls with Mechabellum branding. Visitors sitting in these rows will receive perks such as in-game keys to unlock unit skins.
All attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in an epic one vs. one tournament in Mechabellum, happening in both Dallas and Jönköping. Each tournament with a prize pool of $3,000 up for grabs. The Dallas competition will begin Saturday at 2 p.m. CDT, and DreamHack will host a content creator show match on Sunday that will also feature a $3,000 prize pool. The Sunday competition will be streamed live at 11:30 a.m. CDT on twitch.tv/dreamhack.
