What is at DreamHack Melbourne this year?

  3. 🎨Artist Alley got a DOUBLE XP UP this year – it’s doubling in size to 100 artists! Walk through Artist Alley to explore a world of unique, original creations – and pick up something to take home.
  4. 🔫ESL Challenger returns, with a new ‘Row F’ Ticket Upgrade inspired by the antics of our legendary Aussie & Kiwi CS fans. Watch live Counter-Strike 2 in Australia as 8 of the World’s best teams clash for a prize pool of $100,000 USD.
  5. 🐉The LCO Grand Final is back! #RaiseYourKoalas as Ground Zero Gaming take on Antic Esports to decide: who is the best League of Legends team in OCE? The LCO Grand Final will be played in Rod Laver Arena on Sunday, April 28.
  6. 💻Our BYOC LAN is returning, with more tournaments all weekend long.
  7. 🏃Speedrunning will make an appearance at the festival this year! Experience Australia’s best speedrunners and get hands-on to learn how to start speedrunning yourself.
  8. 🛞The DreamHack Wheel is back, with more prizes to win – just play the DreamHack RPG, and spin to win!
  9. 📕A new Cozy Corner – a place to chill out, maybe read a book or play a board game, generally take a break from all the excitement.

FAQ

FESTIVAL INFO

  • Powerstrip extension (with multiple power outlets)
  • Ethernet cable (about 10m)
  • Toiletries for hygiene: toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hand sanitizer, etc.
  • Water bottle
  • Visit the MOPT website here: https://mopt.com.au/plan-your-visit/getting-here/ to book your parking and view available carparks.
  • Bus 246 (Latrobe Uni – Elsternwick Station) stops at corner of Olympic Boulevard and Punt Road.
  • Tram 70 (Wattle Park) from Flinders Street and Richmond Stations. These stop at Rod Laver Arena (Stop 7B), John Cain Arena (Stop 7C) and AAMI Park (Stop 7D). 
  • Tram 48 (North Balwyn) and Tram 75 (Vermont South). These stop adjacent to the MCG on Wellington Parade. 

Children under the age of 6 can attend DreamHack Melbourne for free, as long as they are accompanied by an adult or guardian with a valid ticket.

DreamHack Melbourne is a family-friendly event, with some video games shown in parts at the festival featuring an MA15+ rating.

  • Trash Taste Upgrade – redeem as you enter the Main Stage on Friday night. Have your Ticketek receipt and order ready.
  • hololive Upgrade (Premium or Standard) – redeem as you enter the Main Stage on Saturday night. Have your Ticketek receipt and order ready.
  • “Row F” ESL Challenger Upgrade – Goodie bag will be available to pickup at the venue. Stay tuned for more details.

There are often people just like you looking for new teammates on-the-day. You can find a team on-the-day and still compete in tournaments.

Valid companion card holders are entitled to free entry to DreamHack Melbourne 2024.

BYOC INFO

At Melbourne and Olympic Parks, the BYOC LAN will be held at the Tennis HQ building, on Level 2.

You may park at the Eastern Carpark, however please note this is PAID parking. Please check the information on the previous page

You can, but as comfortable as the floor is, it may be worth looking at a hotel.

You can, however there won’t be event WiFi and you will only have access to one network cable.

Once you arrive at the Check-In desk on Level 2 at the Tennis HQ Building, LAN staff will assign you a seat. If you have a simple preference, please mention it to them.

No spectators will be allowed in the LAN hall. Only LAN ticket holders are allowed in the BYOC LAN.

The festival will have a range of food trucks and stalls dotted around but we ask that you don’t bring any of it back into the LAN area. We are also close to a tram stop so popping into the city is easy.

Yes you can. You will be responsible for your own equipment. As a security measure no equipment or peripherals can leave the venue between 10pm till 8am. The venue will have security to enforce this rule.

Yes, however you only have access to the 90cm x 75cm of table space, two (2) power points and a single network cable. Additionally, the competitions only support PC devices.

We will have games cached for fast downloads, but please update the games you want to play!
