The Creator Gauntlet is a new initiative launched at DreamHack San Diego for the first time. It’s a battle where content creators recruit their teams at the festival and battle it out against other creators, all for charity!

Creator Hub StageCome and see Matt, the world champion in chessboxing, play against all the team captains AT THE SAME time.

3:00 PM - RESIDENT EVIL 4 activation
Main Stage See the teams playing the new Resident Evil 4 title on the PS5s for one of their last chances to earn points!

4:00 PM - Easter Egg Finals & Closing ceremony
Main Stage Come and witness the GRAND FINALS which will be an easter egg inspired trivia (the gaming kind) - plus don’t miss the finals for a special special bonus round at the end see how will be the Creator Gauntlet champion of DreamHack San Diego.

Friday, April 7

3:45 PM - Opening Ceremony
Main Stage Presentation of the Creator Gauntlet on the Main Stage. We will present the team captains and talk more about the concept and what will happen during this weekend.

4:00 PM - Mario Kart
Main Stage The captains will compete in a series of Mario Kart races to earn points for their teams. People from the audience will occasionally be subbed in for a race, with the captains coaching them to victory. Be there to have a chance to participate!

5:00 PM - Mario Trivia
Main StageTrivia presented by Fandom, with Nintendo and Mario themed questions. The captains will compete and they will be able to use “lifelines” to get support from the audience.

Saturday, April 8

11:30 AM - Pictionary
Creator Hub Stage The team captains will get their pencils out to see who’s the best at Pictionary live at the Creator Hub stage!

4:00 PM - Sajam: Will It Kill?
Main Stage ‘Will it Kill’ hosted by Sajam - Sajam demonstrates in-game combos, and all team members and captains must guess whether the combo kills, or doesn’t.

5:00 PM - Blind Folded Tekken 7 matches
Main Stage The team captains become the eyes of their team, coaching the team members to victory in a blind folded FGC tournament!

6:00 PM - RPS Battle Royale
Creator Hub Stage The ultimate battle royale in rock paper scissors, come and compete against the teams and see what team that can collect the most wins across the entire challenge.

There is still space for more creators or celebrities to be captains in the Creator Gauntlet and help raise money and create awareness for all the important work the Autism Society of San Diego is doing. You can either sign up to become captain for one day or multiple days across the festival.
