A BYOC ticket to DreamHack Winter will reserve you a spot, but you will have to confirm your participation through a sign up form.
(This form will also be emailed to you before the event.)

How to participate:

You have to be physically present in our festival in Jönköping, Sweden. This tournament is played fully on LAN.

The age limit is 13.
Participants aged 13-18 will have to submit a signed parental consent form. This form can be filled in before the event or at the event, but must be signed and handed in to our Booth in D-hall.

format

SOLOS. The tournament is played in three stages.

stage 1:

The first stage is open for everyone to sign up and the best 200 of each heat advance to stage 2.

We have three different heats: red, blue, and yellow. Two of these will be played on Friday at different times and the last will be played on Saturday.

A player can sign up for all of these three heats.
You can play up to ten (10) matches in each heat and the best 200 players will advance from each heat.
Once you have advanced you may not play additional heats in stage 1.

stage 2:

Stage 2 will advance 100 players to the Grand Final.

You can play up to ten (10) matches and the best 100 players will advance.

stage 3:

100 players in a eight (8) game series with small breaks in between each game.

Can’t bring your computer but still want to enter the tournament? Good news! You have the chance to play from our Free Play area.

How to get a seat in the tournament through Free Play:

No signup is needed.

Players that do not have a BYOC ticket will be accepted on a first come first serve basis from the waiting line at the Free Play area.

The Free Play area will be cleared out after each heat and filled with new players from the waiting line. For more information about the format and heats, click here.

Players that qualify to the qualifying round and Grand Final will have a guaranteed spot in the Free Play area

Will there be equipment provided?

Yes, peripherals and equipment are provided in the Free Play area. Due to logistical constraints, you are not allowed to bring your own to replace these equipment.

Is Cross Play allowed?

Cross play is allowed, except on mobile.

What is a BYOC ticket?

BYOC stands for “Bring Your Own Computer”.

This ticket grants you a seat and table in our LAN, a LAN connection, and access to all open tournaments and activities at our festival. For a more detailed description, head to the ticket page.

How does seating work for BYOC?

You select your seat by being logged in on your DreamHack account and to the seat map.

Can I rent a PC there?

Yes you’ll be able to rent a PC & screen on our ticketing platform Tixr. Limited quantity left!

DreamHack is a three-day gaming lifestyle festival.
