The addition of Rainbow Six to the upcoming DreamHack Montreal festival comes as a reply to all the fans and players who reached out asking for a tournament to be hosted in Canada, the country home to the studio that produces Rainbow Six: Siege. The format will stay the same with 12 Pro or Challenger teams being directly seeded to the main tournament meanwhile four teams will be fighting their way through the Bring Your Own Computer qualifier open for all LAN attendees of the event in traditional DreamHack spirit!

In addition to the usual DreamHack prizes, the champions of DreamHack Montreal will secure a guaranteed spot at the Six Invitational 2019, the most prestigious competitive Rainbow Six: Siege event of the year. This is the first announced qualifier for the Six Invitational 2019, and Ubisoft will be giving a full list of how teams can qualify for the Six Invitational during an esports panel at the Paris Major on Sunday, August 19th during the Main Event, live on stream on the official Rainbow Six Esports Twitch channel.

Six Invitational 2019 – Team roster requirements

The team that wins the spot for the Six Invitation is required to have three out of five players from the original roster which secured the spot at DreamHack Montreal when attending the Six Invitational. The team will be replaced from the Six Invitational if it changes more than two players.
