After acquiring a Masters in acting from NYU, she performed stand-up at The Comedy Store and The Improv, as well as sketch comedy at the Acme Comedy Theater. One of her many performance essays was published in Anna David’s book True Tales of Love and Lust from the story-telling event by the same name. Vanessa’s monthly column in the Star Wars Insider magazine tracked her intergalactic fangirl experiences. As a former “plus-size” model, she created a one-woman show Got Phat? – which ran successfully in both LA & NYC.
