Both IRL Streaming and recording footage is allowed and encouraged at DreamHack. However it’s important to be respectful. Please note the following rules:
- No streaming with loud speakers (i.e. no audible text-to-speech enabled)
- No streaming in private areas (bathrooms, admin areas, vip rooms, etc)
- If someone asks you not to film or otherwise feature them in your IRL stream, you must cease filming them immediately.
If you breach any of these rules, your badge and access will be revoked and you will be removed from the event. If you see or experience someone breaking these rules, please let staff or security know immediately.
While we do not go out of our way to record people, you may be caught in videos used for marketing purposes. Please read section 6.8 on our rules page for a full breakdown of our video and photography rules.
At this time we are not offering a hotel room block.

byoc lan
There is a BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) area at our event where you can join in our BYOC tournaments, and play games all weekend long.
Friday, 10:00 AM until Sunday 6PM.
Once the BYOC LAN is open, it will remain open until the festival ends.
We’d recommend the following:
- Your gaming rig: PC, monitor, mouse, keyboard, headphones, and other peripherals. Don’t forget the cables!
- Powerstrip extension (with multiple power outlets)
- Ethernet/network cable (about 50′)
- Personal medication
- Water bottle – don’t forget to hydrate!
- Extra comfy clothes
BYOC Parent Badge
Additional area access to the BYOC for parent/guardians of minors to check on them through ought the festival.
What does this mean
- You will be granted to the BYOC area within the event.
- No seat or table will be provided to you.
- We ask you do not stay in the area for extended periods of time, due to overcrowding concerns.
What the parent badge is not
- A ticket into the DreamHack Festival – a valid ticket must be purchased for the parent of the BYOC Minor.
- A parent pass does not come with a BYOC ticket. It is a Festival ticket that we extend additional access to.
You can now select your seat! Head on over to our BYOC LAN page for more information.
