The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) is the world’s largest nonprofit membership organization serving all individuals who create games.
We bring together developers at key industry conferences and in over 150 chapters and special interest groups (SIGs) to improve their lives and their craft. Whether you’re a student with a goal to become a game developer or a seasoned veteran; whether you’re based in the United States or any other country or region in the world; whether you’re an indie developer or in a AAA studio; whether your primary platform is a PC, console, mobile device, VR/AR, or a tabletop—we welcome you home to the IGDA!
The GIG (Games Industry Gathering) is a virtual networking event created to virtually replicate the experience of connecting with industry friends and strangers in real life. It was created by games industry events veteran Guy Blomgberg as a response to the wave of event cancellation that began in 2020. Since its creation, the GIG has already gathered over 3000 members of the games industry from around the world who meet up every Friday of the week to feel connected.
One of the priorities of GIG is to create a safe and welcoming space for anyone and everyone in the games industry.
Women-led Games brings recognition to the hard working women in the games industry by holding a showcase every year showing off all the innovative games coming from Women-led and majority women studios. We aim to highlight all the amazing things women do in games and support their efforts in order to create a more equitable games industry.
