I make art because it is fun and as a way to connect with people. I usually draw characters I love from various media along with original characters of mine and my friends, leaning toward a cutesy and whimsical vibe with fluid shapes, expressive poses and painterly, harmonious colors. I love to experiment and keep evolving my style by trying new influences from anime, games, manga and cartoons. I first joined Artist Alley in high school under the shared brand SWAGshop before branching out on my own, and now I work under the name amiphitri, inspired by the Greek sea goddess Amphitrite. As a mythology nerd and ocean lover, my booth reflects the theme with turquoise, coral and sea creatures. For me art is both a joyful process and a way to connect, and nothing makes me happier than sharing it and talking with other artists and visitors at conventions.
