I’m Sailor Futaba, an artist with a love for oldschool pre-1990s anime, story-driven video games and vintage tech like computers from the 1960s to 1980s. I started vending at anime conventions as a way to meet like-minded nerds, develop social and professional skills and create a space to share my niche passions. My art is inspired by classic illustrators like Takemiya Keiko and Osamu Tezuka, and I use it to tell stories and pay tribute to the things I enjoy. Whether it’s an Amiga computer or a beloved retro series, I want people to see the coolness in them even if they have never experienced it themselves. For me art is a way to make the things I love shine, and if someone enjoys it enough to want a sticker or print, then I know that spark was shared. Come join me on a journey through time and space, back to the 1980s and beyond!
