Routes to Jönköping

Mode of Transportation: Car
Travel Time: Approximately 3.5 to 4.5 hours

Route Description: Take the E4 highway from Copenhagen, Denmark, heading north towards Jönköping, Sweden. The route involves crossing the Öresund Bridge, passing through cities like Helsingborg and Halmstad, and finally reaching Jönköping. Be prepared for potential border crossings and tolls along the way, and consider checking real-time traffic updates for a smoother journey.

Mode of Transportation: Train
Travel Time: Approximately 3.5 to 4.5 hours

Route Description: Depart from Copenhagen Central Station and take a train heading to Jönköping. The journey will typically involve transfers in either Hässleholm or Nässjö, depending on the specific train you choose. Be sure to check the train schedules for the most up-to-date information on departure times and platform numbers.

Mode of Transportation: Bus
Travel Time: Approximately 5.15 hours

We’d recommend using FlixBus to get picked up from Copenhagen and dropped off directly into Jönköping.

By Train

Please note that travel times may vary depending on the specific train service you choose, so it’s essential to consult the latest schedules and consider booking tickets in advance to ensure a smooth and timely journey to Jönköping from your starting location. Safe travels!

SJ offers fast trains that travel between Jönköping and multiple cities in Sweden.

By Car

When traveling by car, remember to plan for rest stops, fuel, and potential road tolls along your route. It’s also advisable to have a GPS or navigation app to assist you in finding the most efficient and scenic routes to Jönköping. Safe travels!

There are 6500 parking spaces directly outside Elmia, please see the Elmia website here for more details on prices and payment methods.

By Bus

FlixBus and bus4you offers direct coaches to Jönköping from a wide range of cities in Sweden. There are several departures from Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö each day.

By Plane

Jönköping’s airport is unfortunately only used for charter flights. If you’re travelling internationally your best bet is to fly into Göteborg (GOT) or Stockholm (ARN), then take a train or rent a car to travel the rest of your journey.

Sleeping hall

Are you still wondering where to sleep? At DreamHack we have a sleeping area included for all guests with a LAN. This area is located in Racketcentrum and it’s an area where you can go to get some sleep; it’s open 24/7.

Are you a female or a non-binary person?
We have a separate area for you to feel safe and secure during your night, located in RC, this is a separate area for you to sleep in.

  • Towel for showering

Inclusion

We welcome everyone at DreamHack, and we will be making sure you feel at home so at the festival there will be women/non-binary toilets and showers posted on the event map.

You’ll also find a women/non-binary section in the sleeping hall.

The 1337 tips for a great sleeping experience

  • Air mattress 90cm (electrical pump is nice to have)
  • Blanket to put under the mattress as isolation between you and the floor
  • Sleeping bag & pillow.

When you aren’t sleeping you have to bring your mattress to your seat, so make sure to pack smart!
