Hello there! I’m Tom Sheldon, a Birmingham-based solo developer, and I founded Tombobulus Games to promote, seek funding for and complete development of my first professional game project – a cosy little puzzle game about connecting the dots called Ink Strings. I’ve been making games in my bedroom since I was a young boy, and more recently under the moniker of ‘Tombobulus’ I have developed something of a reputation in the Super Mario Maker community for my puzzle and ‘troll’ levels – courses designed to surprise and amuse the player, often via unexpected and ridiculous deaths. I am honoured that some of the biggest streamers of the game, such a CarlSagan42 and DGR Dave, routinely consider my levels worth dedicating their streams and Youtube edits to, which often receive over 100,000 views. Since first mustering up the confidence to demo Ink Strings publicly in the summer of 2025, I’ve been blown away by the reception it has received and I can’t wait until I’m able to secure funding for the project so that I can work alongside an artist and musician to bring it to fruition.
