FESTIVAL INFO

DreamHack is an immersive gaming experience where the community comes to life. At our festival, you come to experience professional esports tournaments, amateur and high school gaming tournaments, world-famous bring-your-own-computer (BYOC) LAN party, cosplay, art, activities, expo, screenings and more.

We’ll be at the Elmia Congress & Concert Hall in Jönköping, Sweden.

We’ll be using Lobby South for the full duration of the festival, and it will be open 24/7!

We’ve got a fleshed out Travel page with multiple modes of transport listed. You just pick whichever works best for you, and we’ll see you here.

Until we announce anything, consider its status not happening/unknown. If you cannot find what you’re looking for on our website, then assume it’s not yet announced or it will not be happening at this time.

TICKETING info

You are now able to upgrade some of your tickets via Tixr! Simply head on over to their orders tab found here and any applicable tickets will allow you to upgrade without going through support.

You can currently upgrade the following tickets

  • Friday, Saturday, 0r Sunday tickets to 3 Day, LAN, Premium LAN, and Legendary LAN.
  • 3 Day or LAN regular to Premium LAN and Legendary LAN

DreamHack tickets are non-refundable. The only circumstance for a ticket refund is if the event is postponed.

You will receive a full refund within 60 days of the original event dates.

Children aged 5 and under are able to attend the festival for free.

Yes! Simply email us at support@dreamhack.com, show us of your card, and we can accommodate your request.

LAN FAQ

There is a BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) LAN area at our event where you can join in our LAN tournaments, and play games all weekend long.

We’d recommend the following:

  • Your gaming rig: PC, monitor, mouse, keyboard, headphones, and other peripherals.
  • Don’t forget the cables!
  • Powerstrip extension (with multiple power outlets)
  • Ethernet/network cable (about 15m)
  • Personal medication
  • Water bottle – don’t forget to hydrate!
  • Extra comfy clothes

Yes! Your table can be used for any console or other system. You’ll still need to bring your own monitor, cables, console, etc.

No. The LAN area is only accessible for those with LAN tickets.

Your gaming rig or console, cables, powerstrips extensions, Ethernet cable (about 15M), personal medication, water bottle and some extra comfy drip.

  • Your friends (don’t pack them, it’ll be awkward at security)
  • Your phone
  • Cushion for your derriere
  • Decorations! All must be powered off your PC and fit in your space without disturbing anyone else near you.
  • Duct tape (solves most problems!)
  • Computer security lock, cables, and padlock to secure your hardware
  • Multivitamins
  • Flashlight to find your stuff in the dark
  • Ear plugs
  • Your own gaming chair
LAN Tournaments

All support will happen via the DreamHack Discord Server so don’t forget to join that before your tournament is due to start!

No, more tournaments will be added in the coming weeks, please follow us on social media to stay up to date with the latest.

The prize pools are public and available on the LAN webpage!

Sign-ups to the LAN Tournaments will be open by the first week of April.

Everyone at the LAN with a ticket and place can compete in any LAN tournament if they can field a team where it is necessary.

To compete in our tournaments you need to be on-site at DreamHack Summer and have a valid ticket.

No. There will not be any Fortnite tournaments for DreamHack Summer in the LAN. 

Sleeping Hall

The sleeping hall will be in Hall A.

There will be a separate area in the sleeping hall for all women and non-binary people.

We welcome everyone at DreamHack, and we will be making sure you feel at home so at the festival there will be women/non-binary toilets and showers posted on the event map.

It opens at 15:00 CEST on Friday, June 14 and closes on Monday, June 18 at 10:00. During DreamHack Summer you will be able to access the sleeping hall 24/7,

The sleeping hall is first come, first serve – so you will have to check in at a later time.

Pillows, covers/blanket(s)/duvet, earplugs (if you are a light sleeper), towel for showering.

You will store the items at your seat.

  • Air mattress 90cm (electrical pump is nice to have)
  • Blanket to put under the mattress as isolation between you and the floor
  • Sleeping bag & pillow

NATIONAL BAG BAN UPDATE

The Swedish Police has provided updated rules and regulations concerning the national bag ban, applicable to DreamHack Summer. You can find below a list of answers to questions you may have.

DAY VISITORS: 1 DAY OR 3 DAY

You are NOT allowed to bring any bag to the venue if you have any of the following ticket types:

  • 3 Day Ticket
  • 3 Day Group Ticket
  • 3 Day Family Ticket
  • Friday Ticket
  • Friday Family Ticket
  • Saturday Ticket
  • Saturday Family Ticket
  • Sunday Ticket
  • Sunday Family Ticket

If you are competing in the following tournaments (be it player, coach, manager, etc), you are allowed to bring a bag for your equipment: 

  • EWC EA FC24 (need pre-purchased add-on)
  • EWC Tekken 8 (need to be pre registered for tournament)
  • EWC Street Fighter 6 (need to be pre registered for tournament)

 

Without the applicable add-on or pre registration you will be denied entry to the event if you attempt to enter with a bag. As a competitor in these tournaments you pick up your credentials and enter through the Congress Center entrance at Elmia. 

If you are part of our Cosplay Competition or part of our Creator Hub, you will have access to bring bags with you into the festival, but you must have the correct ticket with you to do so. Please speak to your respective area owner and they will provide you with more information.

No, you cannot. All bags or holders, outside of diaper bags and medical bags, are not allowed.

Our ruling on what is and what isn’t a bag is final. Please be respectful towards registration personnel if they deem an item that is not allowed in the venue.

DreamHack Summer offers no available wardrobe storage solutions. You cannot bring any bags to the venue.

No. Only LAN tickets are applicable for sleeping hall access.

If you were given a bag inside the venue you are allowed to keep that bag. But if you leave with the bag, you will not be able to return inside with the bag again. It must be left outside the venue.

No. Only LAN tickets holders are allowed in the LAN areas.

Yes but you cannot bring it into the festival inside a bag. 

You are able to visit your children from Friday to Sunday in the LAN when you pick up a parent bracelet from registration. 

LAN VISITORS

You are ALLOWED to bring bags with you to the venue if you have the following ticket types:

  • LAN
  • Premium LAN
  • Quiet LAN
  • Legendary LAN

 

You enter with your bag through Lobby South / Syd. 

You will be able to perform car drop offs outside Hall D on Friday, June 14 between 10:00 – 14:00 CEST.

The same entrance as other visitors via Lobby Syd (Lobby South).

Yes. There will be checks by our security detail at Lobby Syd/South.

No. They will not be able to bring any of their bags inside. They can help carry your computer or equipment, but not be able to bring their own bag in with them.

Yes, LAN attendees will have access to the sleeping hall in Hall A of the festival.

No. You must bring all your items from the sleeping hall to your seat each day.
