Quirkigami is a one-person game studio based in Brooklyn. It makes games about the magical, the surreal and the unconventional — the things that change the lenses we read reality through. The person is Francesco Antolini. He spent two decades directing and designing big games — Prince of Persia on PSP and Assassin’s Creed missions at Ubisoft, Just Cause 3 and 4 at Avalanche Studios, then Amazon Games — before trading big teams for a team of one. The Beast Awoke to Eat Your Darlings (BATEYD) is the first Quirkigami game: a horror game you outsmart, not survive, with a soundtrack he composed and performed live on Moog and Elektron hardware.
